What is a Cooperative?
Consumer Victoria defines a co-operative as a democratic organisation, owned and controlled by its members for a common benefit. Skye Children’s Cooperative is run by our board of members (our parents). It is a non-distributing cooperative meaning that any profits or surplus made by the cooperative is reinvested back into the centre for our children.
If you would like to read more about what a co-operative is, or how it works please see: https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/licensing-and-registration/co-operatives/what-is-a-co-operative
